Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver
Hey , welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
โ A London experience:Hearn Street/Plough YardI love driving roads that have been previously inaccessible. This week I explored Hearn Street/Plough Yard EC2 (City of London)It neatly joins Curtain Road to the very bottom of Shoreditch High Street, wiggling round the back of the new Amazon HQ building. There's limited circumstances where I'd actually use it in the cab, like dropping box park if coming from the city, or using it in place of New Inn Yard which has been shut for sometime. It's just another street that sits in my plethora of options that could get me out of a sticky situation one day.
๐ What I'm reading:One Up On Wall Street: How To Use What You Already Known To Make Money In The Market - Peter LynchHaving been invested in an assortment of index funds for several years and more optimistically crypto!, I've finally decided to open my investment strategy to curated companies/stocks.This book is already falling into the "life changing" category of books for me. It address the notion that the best investors are everyday people who get first hand experience of a new or growing company, but aside from "invest in Chipotle because you enjoy it Tom", it provides a lot of meat to understanding what makes a good company behind the scenes. I'm very excited to put these principles into practice and will share on my blog and in this email as I explore more.โจ Just Launched:My personal blogAn additional medium to the YouTube to share insights and experience with the world. Very new to the blogging space but I endeavour to add it to my weekly content schedule. Much like my YouTube channel, I know that it's going to be messy and bad quality from out the gate, but like any intentional practice, the growth and experience comes from endless repetitions.๐ Happy Birthday to me!:Yesterday (Saturday), I celebrated my 30th birthday! Seems hard to believe, but hey got to keep on cracking ๐. Age is of course just a number and you've got to remain youthful and curious.Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to reach out to me with your; comments, concerns or just general conversation. I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on! ๐๐Have a great week everyone!Tom
