Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver
Hey , Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
🎥 Behind the scenes:Din hjärna (Your Brain) - SwedenThis week I was filming with ITV Sweden in London for the popular show Din hjärna (Your Brain), shown on STV (effectively Swedens BBC) featuring Anders Hansen. He’s almost like the Swedish rockstar of psychology, a great guy and a pleasure to film with! The series features many individuals worldwide who each have unique stories with relation to the brain. Of course in the episode we filmed, was largely to promote the mighty minds of the London cabbies! This filming was for their third season and it’s expected to be live in January 2023. I will update you as I know more.🎮 A game I'm addicted to:Mini Motorways - Apple ArcadeI’ve recently wanted a bit of a release in the form of gaming. As I’m far too tight to invest in a PS5 or a Xbox, I looked to the Apple Arcade and came across Mini Motorways. It’s a superbly addictive game, and almost akin to how I observe the streets of London. Effectively you build the road networks of city that is growing in population. The aim is to make it as efficient as possible, and make the city last as long as possible through rapid expansion. I highly recommend checking it out!⏰ My saviour this week:Alarmy - Alarm ClockGetting out of bed is probably the biggest bain of my life currently. I’m fine if its a strict time I have to be somewhere for (i.e. picking up a client from Heathrow, or a medical appointment). But just day to day, and actually getting started. It doesn’t matter if I have 10 hours of sleep. I can still wake with my alarm at 8 and successfully snooze for an hour or 2. I believe I subconsciously do it as procrastination, if I have a morning full of tasks, delaying the start or self sabotaging myself by staying in bed is a great way to avoid getting started. So in steps Alarmy. It’s an alarm clock that has a few features that allows you to pick a task that must be completed to turn the alarm off. Whether that’s scanning a barcode in the kitchen (what I’ve opted for) or solving a few maths problems. I’m hoping that the problem is just one of bad habits rather than actual health concern.I’m interested to know if anyone has a similar problem and how you may have overcome this.New on YouTube this week:
What a London Taxi Exam Looks Like!
