🗞 Tom's Sunday Summary - 15th October 2023

Hey , welcome back to
The Sunday Summary
, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
💂🏻♀️ A London experience:Horizon 22 - London's Highest Free Viewing PlatformHorizon 22 is on the Bishopsgate corridor, and from the top, almost looks like you are looking down on The Shard. It's entirely free to go up, but tickets must be booked in advance.I'll be honest, as amazing as it was, some of the obscenely tall views like this and The Shard, remove a lot of perspective from London. It's quite hard to feel like you are still connected to the streets when you are this high up. Although incredibly enlightening and futuristic to think that this monolith of a building, is sitting within the area of the great fire ravaged. It was also really weird to be looking down at the top of the gherkin and the leaden hall building! Mindblowing. Also a good chance to try out my new binoculars!🎙️ A podcast I'm loving:17 Raw Lessons About Human Nature - Steven Bartlett (Modern Wisdom)Chris Williamson definitely takes the crown as the best podcaster. He has an incredible ability to get the most from his guests, without it being a monologue of their lives. All the salient wisdom (as the podcast name would suggest). This was incredible, as hearing the same entrepreneur starting out stories has no real value to me. Chris' abilities to cut to the chase and get into the real strategies and day to day shifts are incredible. This was mind-blowing and something I will come back to.I've recently received a copy of Bartlett's new book The Diary of a CEO - 33 Laws of Business and Life (thanks mum!) so can't wait to dive into that for more!📺 A powerful reframe:150 videos on YouTubeI sometime critically evaluate my works and efforts on YouTube. "Why has this video bombed?" "Why has growth slowed" etc.I had an email update from VidIQ which sends various metrics on your channel to keep you motivated on the journey.Just 150 uploads. And I think the first 100 of those were uncalibrated waffling vlogs. It's a sobering reminder that when I try and compare myself with other more "successful" creators (comparison is the thief of joy). That I am still right at the beginning of my YouTube journey. There's plenty more to come, many more ways to give exposure to the London Taxi trade. And complete my mission of filling the ranks; getting more drivers into the profession and more passengers on the back seat!📺 A YouTube collaboration:
