Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver

Hey , Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

💂‍♂️ A London experience:Walking the ThamesOn New Year I watched fireworks from the defunct Hammersmith bridge. Looking at the Thames and trying to ascertain where Westminster was (as the crow flies), it was incredibly perplexing. I looked out east from the bridge and thought to myself; I have hardly walked any of the River Thames. Of course all the central stuff, Westminster to Tower Bridge, yea lots of times.  But anything beyond (Thames Barrier, Putney, Fulham etc)So starting last weekend (should have been in last weeks email, I know), my girlfriend and I walked from London Bridge to Greenwich.  I'm excited to do more, it's a nice defacto activity which can end with a couple of pints in a new pub (Dog & Bell, Deptford. And St Stephens Tavern, Bridge Street, directly under Big Ben, how's that for tourist!)Bermondsey SE16📖 I'm currently reading:Strangeways: A Prison Officer's Story - Neil SamworthI'm a big fan of true crime and prison documentaries, so its thought I'd extend that into books too. It's a gripping read from an officer who's had a pretty tough upbringing before the job shared in this book.

1 Taxis - Canning Town

For sorting a warranty job on my taxi that I couldn't have spotted. Very proactive garage and I had a set of tyres fitted whilst down there.  All the times I've visited they've always been on the ball, efficient and solved the problem first time!
