📰 Tom's Sunday Summary - 21st April 2024

Hey , welcome back to
The Sunday Summary
, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
💂🏻♀️🇬🇧 Taxi trade update:8.9% Meter IncreaseThis should come as no surprise. TfL have reviewed our tariff, and in line with inflation, cost of vehicle, cost of running etc they have agreed on a price increase of 8.9% effective from 20th April 2024In other news, my taxi passed its annual overhaul so is fit for another year of usage in London. If you didn't know, every London Taxi requires an MOT every 6 months as well as a TfL inspection (overhaul) to ensure it is fit for usage by the public. It's all standard stuff, but anything involving the 3 letter of TfL always gets you worried and anxious. So pleased I don't have to think about that for another year!🏋🏻 Health update:Bulking is game changing I'm currently reverse dieting (the process of increasing your metabolism gradually, being able to eat more calories each week).I've gone from a baseline of 1700 calories to 2200 (and I believe I will need to increase further next week). It's been incredible, the first time in my life I've actively tried eating more. I'm lifting heavier, getting bigger but also more defined than I've ever been. In the next couple of weeks once I find my new baseline I will then go on a cut cycle. Addictive stuff and the most progress I have found in the gym in decades!

A new gadget:Topway Single Automatic Watch Winder
I've been delving into the world of watches, purchased my first automatic watch. But invariably, the problem of not wearing it everyday means that the automatic winding doesn't get activated. Meaning you have to reset the time and date.
So I purchased this beautiful gadget. It displays the watch beautifully and keeps the dust of it.

I'm re-reading:What You See is What You Get - Alan Sugar
I first read this 10 years ago. And I believe it was the catalyst that me leave my sales job in the City of London so I could commit my life to learning The Knowledge of London.
Been spurred to read this again as I've been watching the most recent series of The Apprentice. I do love Lord Sugar's no nonsense and concise communication style, a lot can be learned here!
🎧
On heavy rotation:You're Fired To The End - Dry Masters (The Apprentice music)
Related to the above. This soundtrack just gives me chills, it motivates me into action and is super inspiring!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Please feel free to reach out to me with your; comments, concerns or just general conversation.
I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on!
📝😁
Have a great week everyone!
