Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver

Hey , welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

🇬🇧 London experience of the week:The Wallace CollectionAs part of my lifelong journey to "complete" London, I'm finally allocating more time to explore points of interest that I've always longed to do.This week I visited The Wallace Collection, definitely less "in" points in terms of historical context that I can relate to, but a wonderful house and collection none-the-less.  The highlight for me was the large portrait of the Prince Regent, George IV.📺 What I'm watching:Exploring London Waterloo's Secret Arches - RobslondonI've been following Robert Lordan since I started my London Knowledge journey back in 2014, also a cabbie he was written multiple books and pieces for Time Out and Metre, an absolute wealth of London Knowledge!I feel like this video has ripped my brain wide open, Waterloo is a station we all frequently drop at but I had absolutely no clue to the hidden depths that lie beneath it!This video features some of the research and gems he came across whilst writing his most recent book; "Waterloo Station - A history of London's most busiest terminus"

🎬 What I'm working on:I have filmed a collection of short "mantras" or "mental models" for my Instagram reels.  Not necessarily taxi related, but ways of thinking that encourage the "growth" mindset.  Ways of thinking and life changing stuff that got me through The Knowledge and all of my future challenges/endeavours.   I plan to put the first of these on my Instagram next week.Tom the Taxi Driver - Instagram🎵 What I'm listening to:Liar Liar - Need For Mirrors & Zero T - (Game of Tones EP)Whenever I am at my desk, composing these emails, journalling or working on creative endeavours, I'm generally listening to some kind of liquid drum and bass.  Some people study to classical, but for me I feel like the rhythm of my brain must be set to 175bpm.  definitely no lyrics allowed, just a constant groove/beat 😊 📼 This week on YouTube:Nothing I'm afraid, it's been another one of those weeks that has really run away from me. But I have so exciting news in the pipeline!From September I will no longer be a solo creator!  As part of my commitment to get you more of the videos and content you want, I need more help and support with the content creation.  And that is exactly what will be happening.Some subject areas I will be filming and editing in the coming weeks:
