🗞Tom's Sunday Summary - 22nd January 2023
Hey , welcome back to
The Sunday Summary
, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
💂🏻♂️ A London experience!Victoria and Albert Museum - Cromwell Gardens SW7 Initially visiting the Natural History museum, and overwhelmed with people, we decided to go next door the serene and calming V&A. My first time there, as wow! Might have found my new favourite museum. Like any big museum, I had to attack a specific section, so victorian Britain was the obvious candidate. I then found myself stuck by various cabinets that displayed pieces about the Great Exhibition of 1851. Including a map of the exhibition! (Wyld's New Plan of London, this thing was beautiful and I could have spent all day looking at it!). I managed to grab a photo for you all. I love the fact that it has different languages around the edges, as well as popular attractions in London that would have been open at the time.
📰 A newsletter I've signed up:The Pump Daily - Arnold SchwarzeneggerThis is a regular email of actionable exercises that anyone can do daily. It’s a nice shift change, I always delude myself into thinking that working out means I need to physically go to the gym. But like most things in life, small regular actions will compound. I emplore any cabbie, or anyone who wants to add a dose of physical activity to their lives to subscribe. It’s all easy to do exercises that you can do practically anywhere, with different levels or different fitness abilities. The goal isn’t to make you do a hardcore routine, quite the opposite. To inspire you to make small changes that will change your thoughts towards regular exercise.
🎧 An audiobook I'm loving:Solve for Happy: Engineer Your Path to Joy - Mo GawdatIt makes perfect sense, why wouldn’t we optimise for happiness?. This book has some wonderful exercises to pattern interrupt the everyday ways of thinking that often make us feel down. There’s plenty of ways to be happy and optimise for it.💿 On heavy rotation:Mild Feeling - DuoScienceIt’s drum and bass but not quite sure it falls into the Liquid category, I’ll let you decide.
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
