🗞️ Tom's Sunday Summary - 23rd October 2022

Hey , Welcome back to

The Sunday Summary

, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

💂🏻‍♀️ This week in London:

A month or so ago you might remember I was astounded for my Heathrow airport video to be featured in Tom Scott’s weekly email (if you somehow haven’t heard of him, here is his YouTube channel). Well, after building up the courage, I decided out and email him.  Long story short, it culminated in a collaboration video for his Plus channel! I still can’t believe it, Tom is one of my YouTube hero’s and a top bloke.  I was driving my TXE whilst he drove a taxi provided by Clipper Cab (you will see more from them on my channel in the coming months).  We had a scavenger hunt style challenge with points of interest across London, Tom having to use the sat nav, whilst I solely relied upon my knowledge.  Who won?  Well you’ll have to wait and see ;)   This is expected to go live early December.  Bonus prize if you can guess where we are!🇱🇺 I'm going to Luxembourg City:I’ve finally booked my next exciting project “24 hours in Luxembourg”, where I attempt to learn The Knowledge of the city in just 24 hours! If you are from Luxembourg City or have experience of it, please reach out to me! I’m desperately finding points and would love to be tested by someone who has a connection with the city.🗺 Spot the mistake:This Google map suggestion has 2 illegal manoeuvres in it.  This was an incredibly difficult run in real life also!

🎧 An audiobook I'm loving:Storyworthy - Matthew DicksIn an attempt to include more narrative elements and story telling in my YouTube videos, I’ve been listening to what is regarded as one of the best books on story telling.  Plenty of golden rules and ideas to really shape up the craft. There’s something in here for everyone.  A bit lengthy and detailed.

🕹 A new gadget:Elgato StreamdeckTrying to speed up my workflow and common activities, I purchased one of these.  As the name suggests, they are primarily used by streamers as one button can be programmed to perform multiple computer functions.  It’s also pretty awesome for creative types like me!  The biggest issue is knowing exactly what to programme and why.  If anyone else has one of these I’d love for you to get in touch and share what workflows and buttons you have!

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Please feel free to reach out to me with your; comments, concerns or just general conversation.

I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on!

 📝😁

Have a great week everyone!
