🗞Tom's Sunday Summary - 26th March 2023

Hey , welcome back to

The Sunday Summary

, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

💂🏻‍♂️ A London experience:Dennis Severs House - 18 Folgate StreetThis is a real anomaly amongst anything I’ve experienced in London. Dennis Severs' House is a museum in London that recreates the life of an 18th-century Huguenot silk-weaving family through immersive "still-life drama" displays. It’s a real feast for every sense, and down right eerie in places!  I’m very tempted to go back for a guided tour, there’s just so much to this place!

🎙️ A new gadget:DJI Wireless Lavelier MicrophonesThe eagle eyed (or eared) amongst you, may notice some audio glitches in this weeks upload.  The problem, my Zoom F2 Audio recorder has some intermittent connection issues.  Very similar to an audio jack not being plugged in properly, creating immovable and distracting static (and some outrageous audio peaks).  It can very easily destroy a day of shooting, so I took the plunge on DJI’s wireless offering. WOW! These really are the future!  Check out the product video to see the tech packed into these!

👨🏼‍🏫 My speed reading hack:

Audible in the taxi, and a

at home are the 2 tools I use to devour books.  I read around 30-40 books a year but this recently implemented hack is probably going to put me into the 50+ territory.  Certain titles on the kindle/audible stores are eligible for “Whispersync”, you pay a few good more on top of the kindle price, but it allows for your reading and audiobook progressed to be synced across every device. It seriously speeds up reading chunky texts!  I was able to complete the last 3/4 of

in a matter of days.

📖 A book I'm reading:The Wim Hof Method: Activate Your Potential, Transcend Your Limits - Wim HofIn accompaniment to my meditation through the Waking-up app, I’ve been incorporating breath work and cold showers!  It’s after the realisation that my life is fairly comfortable without a great deal of stressors to adapt to.  The progress so far have been miraculous, the scientific research is outstanding and I actually enjoy a cold blast to end my showers.  It’s a poor mans sauna!💿 On heavy rotation:The Herb - 9 Lazy 9Think Take 5 by The Dave Brubeck Quartet, but add a bit more chill and electronic beats.
