📰 Tom's Sunday Summary - 26th May 2024

Hey , welcome back to
The Sunday Summary
, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
🇬🇧💂🏻 A London experience I'm taking part in:Abseiling Lloyds of LondonOn Thursday 27th of June I will be abseiling the iconic “inside out” building in aid of GOSH (Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital). The minimum raising was £250, I decided to double this to £500 which has been surpassed! I’d love to be able to get this up to £1000 so please donate what you can if you haven’t already. GOSH is especially close to my heart, providing me with life saving surgery in my teens, and to be able to do such a feat in London will be an exhilarating experience!
🇺🇸 A Non London experience:Bentonville Bike Fest, ArkansasThis weekend I writing to you from Bentonville Arkansas, my first time to the states. The bike capital of the world attending and competing (leisure) in the Bentonville bike festival, hosted by trials legend Kenny Bealey.📺 What I've been watching:What Does a Great Cup of Coffee Taste Like? - James Hoffman (YouTube)A brilliant poetic delve into the world of coffee and beautifully job. Almost reminiscent of something from The Matrix. There’s also a follow-up of how this was shot.James Hoffman is such a don, proof that you can beyond “retention” and over optimising for YouTube, and just delivering fantastic content!📖 What I've been reading:Unscripted: My Ten Years in Telly - Alan SugarReading more into Alan Sugar, this book has delivered fascinating insight into the production of The Apprentice, such as the fact that the winner isn’t decided until a few days before air date. It’s typical Sugar in that he is obnoxious in most stages of the production process, then takes credit for coming up with production ideas and efficiencies that supposedly didn’t exist until his intervention. Get past that, and it’s a great book if you love the series and want to know more about how it’s structured.
