Sunday Sum - 26th November 2023

🗞 Tom's Sunday Summary - 26th November 2023

Hey , welcome back to

The Sunday Summary

, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

🚖 A video I've been putting off for a long time:The London No Lights ChallengeThis week's upload has taken a lot of work.  This has consumed several days in terms of route planning, several days in un-successful filming attempts, and then multiple days in the edit.  It's been something I've been curious to try for months, and at some point, the rubber has to meet the road and ideas have to come to fruition whether you feel they are complete or not!  I would love to know your thoughts on this one, maybe I'll replicate it in foreign cities.🎄 Quick Christmas gift guide:If like me, you struggle to buy gifts for the loved ones in your life, you might like my quick impromptu list of purchases that I can't live without.  These also might serve as ideas for loved ones to buy you!

  • Bremerman shoe horn. £6.99 This is fantastic, no more sore thumbs to lever my shoes on. This thing is solid and is probably more likely to destroy your shoes rather than bend or fail on you.

  • Multi travel plug. £22.99 This is invaluable, super nice to know whatever country I go to, this plug has me covered.  It's super handy to use in the UK because of the multiple USB ports.

  • Sandisk 1TB portable SSD drive. £69.99 I was so surprised at the size of this thing! I'm now tempted to purchase multiples of these to scatter everywhere.  It's about the size of a credit card and thinner than your phone!  Plus it's super fast!

  • UE Megaboom 3 speaker. £139.00 This comes on all my travels, when I'm riding my bike, or just around the house when I'm doing chores.  It's waterproof so great for the shower, rugged and options to clip with a carabiner.

  • MX Master 3s mouse. £81.99  Once mapped with Final Cut Pro and set for different applications, this is a massive time saver.  I literally can't live without it!  It feels like the difference between using an iPhone or a desktop PC, a huge boost in my workflow!

🎧 A podcast I'm loving:James Hoffman - Diary of a CEOI love James Hoffman, not just for his unique insights on coffee.  But how he is able to constantly adapt his YouTube channel and produce new and engaging content ideas towards coffee.  Very interesting to learn that he is still constantly learning about coffee.  It's an inspiring approach that I love to try and emulate with my channel, taxi driving and London.

💿 On heavy rotation:Quantic - 5th ExoticGreat beats for chilling to, thinking to, relaxing to.  This is great!
