Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver
Hey , I hope you had a wonderful start to 2022! Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
ππΊοΈ I need your help:Tom the Taxi Driver does The Knowledge of EuropeFor 2022, I've had a crazy idea.Covid restrictions pending, I'm planning on driving to a particular European city (in my taxi!), driving there for a week, solely with the purpose of learning that city INSIDE OUT!Initially I will be looking to cover either; Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam or Cologne. As I will be setting my own challenge parameters. I need to know FROM YOU, what would define as intimate knowledge. Or the kind of local expertise that can be demonstrated from years of exposure? Also, if you have any experience living or working in any of the above cities, I WANT TO HEAR from you. It's an ambitious project, and certainly one to push me beyond my comforts of London!π¬ A London experienceWestminster Abbey
Despite always including Westminster Abbey on my London Highlights tour, I must confess (pun intended, Edward the Confessor π) I have never been inside!
Visiting New Years Eve, I'm very glad to have done so. My highlight would have to be visiting the tomb's of Eleanor of Castile and Edward I. There's just something so visceral about coming in close contact with monarchs of centuries gone by.

I'm currently reading:
London is a weird place, and at times I honestly don't know if I hate or love it. Is it the place? the history? my deep investment into London? or something else?
This book is a thorough exploration into the individuals that make up London, "as told by those who love it, hate it, live it, left it and long for it." It's almost the kind go conversations I seek to have in the cab, but covering far more jobs and careers I'd ever organically have the exposure to.

On heavy rotation:
Tony Hawks Pro Skater fans will invariably be familiar with CKY's - 96 Quite Bitter Beings (Aka the most catchiest guitar riff of all time).
Still Unstable, Still at Large features a galloping riff as catchy of the original that Deron Miller crafted whilst still a part of CKY.
New from Tom the Taxi Driver this week!
How Web 3.0 will CHANGE the London private hire industry
Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please feel free to reach out to me with your; comments, concerns or just general conversation. I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on! ππHave a great week everyone!Tom
