Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver

Hey , Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

💂‍♂️ A London experience:The Horniman Museum and GardensI'd never been but wow, what a collection and a great building. Whilst in the area we took a short bus ride to Crystal Palace to visit the park that housed the structure of the same name (the original Great Exhibition moved from Hyde Park after 1851).While perusing the Horniman, I read that Frederick Horniman began his collection at the Great Exhibition of 1851. This grand space then of of course moved to Crystal Palace (which we visited after), not too far from Horniman's home. It did make me wonder if this was sheer coincedence or if this was linked in some war.🏋️ What I've been working on:Functional strength and possibly powerliftingI've managed to establish a bit of a gym groove again. Having only ever trained for aesthetics (not as high on the priorities now), I decided to explore into function movements to improve my trials riding.Seeing some riding colleagues delve into the world of powerlifting, I feel compelled to do the same.  I've recognised that my shoulder mobility is terrible, so I already have a lot to work on, making it an exciting project.If any of you have any experience in the realms of mobility or powerlifting, I'd love to hear from you!                             🎧 What I've been listening to:   The Diary Of A CEO - Steven BartlettThis has very quickly become one of my favourite podcasts. A combination of some incredible guests and a great role as host (Bartlett's timing and specificity of questions is perfect).  They also sit at a nice length. It's not too short but also not an rambling of multiple hours.I'd highly recommend checking out his conversation with Jimmy Carr or Jordan Peterson. Plenty of mic drop moments there.🚲 A bonus:Some trials riding from last Sunday (I'm on the smaller bike)
