Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver
Hey , Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.
π₯ Behind the scenes:A TX4 test driveThis week I've been working on a collaboration with fellow YouTuber, London cabbie and London Live superstar, Mark Monroe. With the LEVC TXE overtaking the TX4 as king of the ranks (in terms of numbers in London). We wanted to each make a video sharing some of the things we love about this classic vehicle! He's a cheeky selfie of Mark and I.Big thanks to George Jackson at Kings Cross Taxi garage (Camley Street) for lending his TX4 for filming.β A new coffee product:Neouza 53mm Coffee DistributorMy coffee making addiction grows deeper. In short, a distributor evenly distributes ground coffee in a portafilter basket prior to tamping (that pressing thing that baristas do). This means that when you extract (the bit when hot water is pressurised and espresso falls into the cup), the water is able to flow evenly through the coffee puck, minimising the risks of channelling (one side of the puck being exposed to more water) which in turn creates a more balanced shot, getting the most out of the coffee.TL;DR, a coffee distributor helps make more consistent espresso.ππ» My saviour this week:Renpho Massage GunI generally use this for sport (it's a wonderful routine after a long weekend biking, or when I'm away snowboarding) but this week I woke up with the most wondrous calf cramp (my calves are generally tight from extensive sitting/driving). Renpho to the rescue.I picked this brand over a year ago (the muscle gun market is awash with the expensive originators through to Chinese knock off at every level), mainly because I already had Renpho scales, and the fact that this particular model is USB C chargeable. If you have any muscle impingements, tightness or just cramp as I experienced randomly. This is a great device to have on hand!πΏ On heavy rotation (whilst I write this):Ego Trip (album) - Papa RoachI'm particularly enjoying; Killing Time and Always WanderingJust to make you feel old, Last Resort by Papa Roach is 22 years old!
Thank you for taking the time to read this.
