Sunday Summary from Tom the Taxi Driver

Hey , Welcome back to my Sunday Summary, a collection of insights and my behind the scenes from the past week.

☕ A January experiment:I'm caffeine free!You might know that I do love a good cup o' Joe (flat white specifically). But in an effort to stabilise anxiety and stress, I've knocked the old caffeine on the head for this month.I will routinely have 2 coffees (4 espresso shots) a day.  All before midday. I love the process and ritual of making coffee but with kipper season (January/February) in full flow I could feel anxiety ramping up.January is always a relatively quiet month in the cab, but with warnings of people to continue working fro home, it has really dried the streets up. I'm just taking this month relatively casual in the cab. Shifting my mindset to how it was during lockdown (low expectations, gratitude for any job).📓 New WordsTerra IncognitaI'd come across this term before but never full understood it.Effectively "parts unknown".  It's synonymous with me and what I hope to do with the YouTube channel, the idea of a map having designated blank areas, the edge of your understanding or what has been previously mapped.  It's an experience I had with mapping London, parts or areas that are just blank in your mind, until you go there and the map just fills in, like when you play a video game.  It's a wonderful experience that I always crave whenever I visit somewhere new.📖 I'm currently reading:Before & Laughter - Jimmy CarrThis was a Christmas gift (Thanks mum!), and I'd normally gloss over autobiographies from most celebs, as it's the usual "I went to school here, met this person here, etc".However with Before & Laughter it very much is philosophy, self help and hard truths all wrapped within a biographical guise. There's a lot of mic drop moments that leave me feeling I will be coming back to this book much more in the future.
