🇪🇪 A Non-London experience

Tallinn, Estonia

A brief weekend getaway to a new country (on my way back now). Very cold as you can imagine (plenty of minus temperatures), will share some deeper insight with you next week.

📖 What I’m reading

I recently purchased a few tax guides. You’ll know from previous emails that I’m a sucker for personal finance. It’s almost as powerful as journalling for me, when stuck or unsure, just open a spreadsheet and go wild! These books have helped me understand some stickier areas of tax to me, with representative examples that provide some nice break even scenarios of one strategy over another.

🎙️ A new software

As mentioned at the top of the email. I took the plunge to switch from Mailchimp to Beehiiv. I felt using a full mail client for a humble newsletter like this was a bit overkill. I’ve already found some great tools in Beehiiv to make this newsletter easier which in turn will enable me to spend more time on content rather than the formatting of it!

😴 A sleep gadget

Trying to optimise my sleep one step further. I wanted to experiment if a white noise machine could reduce minor sleep interruptions from North London traffic (the joys of living in an area with a lot of LTN’s and a police station nearby). Chucking all the data into a spreadsheet and will see! This gadget is great, lots of volume settings, can turn off the LED lights when it’s on, has a sleep timer, great value!

Industrial metal classic. Love the chorus on this one, this has been endlessly on repeat this week!
