The Sunday Summary - 1st February 2026

πŸš– Bank junction needs you!, πŸ“± Staying focussed and πŸ‹πŸ» Getting stronger

Hey everyone, we’re finally out of January! and welcome back to the Sunday summary!

πŸš– The taxi trade needs you!

All Change at Bank Junction
Bank Junction is still firmly in its trial phase. A new consultation has been raised online, and the cycle lobby are already getting really far behind it. If you can, please do a massive favor and contribute in favor of black cabs.
There has not been a KSI (killed or seriously injured) there involving a black cab, but many people want to revoke our access there as cab drivers. This is crucially important to ensure that we get work within the city, that we can move around the city, and offer much better value fares for passengers. Cab drivers win because we can earn more. Passengers win because they pay less as we can get around easier and pick them up from door to door.  Thank you

πŸš– Congratulations to Connor Dill

Connor passed The Knowledge of London 6 months ago, Thursday he celebrated his 21st birthday which allowed him to collect this licence and join the London taxi fraternity! A huge inspiration for aspiring Knowledge students out there!

πŸ“± An app that’s clawing back my free time

JOMO - Better Screen Time, Better Focus
Okay, I'm an addict. My screen time is frankly outrageous. I guess I do have to use my phone as part of my work a lot (i.e. Google Maps, taking work on apps, using podcasts while driving, etc.). However, it's those little cursory glances at home (Instagram, YouTube, etc.) when time at home should really be protected. I've used the Jomo app. It's a way of cleverly blocking certain apps to reclaim your time. JOMO is good because it allows you to block apps in such a way that you cannot actually remove the restriction or re-download the app to gain access. Bit of a game changer really.

HEVY - Workout Tracker
HEVY has tracked ALL my workouts for the past four years. I ended up paying for premium, as I have some custom workouts in there, multiple pre-made workout plans, and just to make my gym lifting sessions so much easier. I love being able to chart my weight over time. It's probably the biggest game changer if you are in the gym to actually track your weights. That way you can incrementally get stronger.
Relating to the gym. I’ve found a new way to stay motivated, if it works… I’ll let you know my secret sauce!
