A few weeks ago I shared my new under desk walking pad (for standing desks). This thing has been great. Sometimes I’m guilty of buying something new. Having the best of intentions, and then falling off the wagon.  But this has proved very effective. Whenever I need a bit of a state change from sitting, I revert to this. If I’m changing from an in depth task such as editing, to something more monotonous, like emails, I’ll switch to walking. Want to consume TV and feel less guilty about it? I’ll just walk while watching.

📖 What I’m reading

Notes From a Fellow Traveller - Derren Brown

This is a booked aimed at performing artists. Stage magicians etc. but found it an insightful read. I used to perform close up magic as a teenager, and whilst it’s not something I do anymore. I can still relate to the content of this book. If anything it’s quite apt for the realm of YouTube, how to communicate narrative and energy.  Fascinating to peer deeper into this great thinker, and know exactly how every beat of his show is considered. Just makes me want to book up to see him again!

I find this so relaxing whilst doing my easy mileage runs, training for the Hackney half. Or when I’m listening at home, the pod racing visuals are perfect to have on in the background.
