📺 What I’m watching
How long does it take deliver a liver from Stansted Airport to Cromwell Hospital, midday on a Friday?
Well in May 1987, just 30 minutes! Incredible footage from this live saving operation by Essex Police. More info on the whole process here
Thanks to Knowledge boy Jon Anderson for sharing this with me, I had never heard of it. Perhaps it’s worthy of a recreation in some form?
🚦 A traffic term I’ve just learnt
or… the indirect left. Rather than a left term (in the US) across passing traffic, the state of Michigan are a big fan of getting traffic to take a right, followed by a U-turn. This isn’t a shortcut or sneaky manouvevere like a cabbie would do in London, it’s something that is statewide from the 1960’s.
I learnt this from the recent Tom Scott appearance on the Sad Boyz podcast HERE
