The Sunday Summary

📖 When maps go wrong, ⛔️ Crossing London without roads and ☎️ Ugly streets

📖 What I’m reading

This Way Up: When Maps Go Wrong (And Why it Matters) - Map Men
I was super fortunate to receive an early copy of this book. I’d imagine a lot of you will be interested in this topic (if you haven’t seen The Map Men, on Youtube, what rock have you been living under?) It’s released on Thursday October 23rd. If not for personal indulgence, it would make a great Christmas gift!

📺 A London video I’m watching

London No Roads Mission - GeoWizard
This is super inspiring. I frequently think of ambitious videos for the channel (like my time I learnt Luxembourg City and driving across London without traffic lights). Sadly I can never get them to land with viewership. Maybe will try again (getting across London using just Zebra crossings, or if I turn left then right then left… where would I end up?)

📺 What I’m watching

How Did The World Get So Ugly? - The Cultural Tutor
Absolute banger out of the gate on this YouTube channel. Breaks all the conventional YouTube “rules” and is a beautiful piece

📺 On Tom the Taxi Driver this week

Due to a bit of technical difficulties, you should be getting 2 uploads on Tom the Taxi Driver this week. I will be going back to a Saturday upload, as surprisingly, Friday uploads were more stressful than the weekend!

You can expect; “Is Uber Really Cheaper Than a Taxi in London?” and a lucky day working the Tube strike!

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on!

Have a great week!

Tom
