The Sunday Summary

🎾 Overthinking sport, 🚴🏻 Brighton bicycling and 🎵House Tour

🎾 What I’m reading

The Inner Game of Tennis: The classic guide to the mental side of peak performance - Timothy Gallwey
Whilst tennis makes for most of the analogies in this book, the same can be applied to any other sport or discipline where you have a mental battle with your unconcious self. The premise is simple, talking to yourself in a way of “hit the ball there” generally doesn’t produce better outcomes. Need proof? You will have had it when you’re in a flow state, and as soon as you are thinking about what you are doing, you lose all ability to do whatever you are trying to do.

🏃 Green shelter run club

Raising funds for London cabman’s shelters
The 16 miler takers place this Wednesday, we will be starting at 08:00 at Warwick Avenue and finishing after 10:30 at Warwick Avenue.
We have raised over £1000 to aid in repairs of these historic grade 2 shelters. I would like to give a massive thanks to David Styles CabbieBlog for additional promotion on this, so much so, we managed to get a feature on Londonist

🤯 My mind is blown!

MIND 3 - CHARLIE ROLLS - BRIGHTON
Cambridge’s very own Charlie Rolls (also recent European champion, and ranked no.1 in the world) takes his trials bike to the streets of Brighton, this is absolutely mental. This is the same bike stuff I do, but this is out of this world in terms of power, precision and skill, not to be missed.

🎧 On heavy rotation

House Tour - Sabrina Carpenter
It’s no Espresso, but still a banger

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I'd love to know what you're up to or what you might be working on!

Have a great week!
