Sir! Magazine

“For Men Who Want to Know”

This feels like a real life milestone for me. I grew up devouring magazines; lads mags, tech, gaming, so being featured in one feels surreal.
The new Sir! (“For Men Who Want to Know”) included me in their Everyday Spotlight Q&A of issue 1. It’s a quarterly magazine covering pubs, fashion, music, and the latest gadgets, all with gorgeous design and production. Fun twist: Will from Whatwillycook (whose close to mark question I read out on Jaackmaate’s Happy Hour podcast) appears in the same section.
If you like your coffee table to have a bit of style, this is one to pick up.

🃏 A game I’m loving

Splendor Duel

This two-player spin-off of the original Splendor is fantastic. The rules look intimidating at first, but after a couple of turns everything clicks.
It’s a step up from Jaipur (which I’ve featured before), slightly longer play, more strategic depth, and lots of little moving parts. Can’t wait to get it back on the table again!

🎤 A live show?

I’m in early talks with a show provider to put on my first in-person event!
The vision? A central London pub, limited tickets, and a night built around the things from my videos, big map moments, old-school overhead projectors, live knowledge exams… and maybe a few surprises!

💂🏻🚖 I will be back on London Tours!

For those who’ve been emailing and checking my schedule, good news: I’m returning to taxi tours!
My recent trip to Croatia reminded me how much a great local guide can shape your experience, especially when they know the perfect restaurants or hidden gems. I’ll be offering two tours:

1. Tom’s London Highlights – All the iconic landmarks plus plenty of little-known London facts.

2. Tom’s Discover North London – My slightly biased Camden borough-focused tour, perfect for exploring beyond the centre.

I’m juggling a few bits currently such as a house move, but I anticipate dates will be available from mid-end of September. Will keep you all posted!

💻 I’m looking for a video editor!

Uploads have slowed recently (don’t worry, an early morning shift video drops this Friday!), partly due to some production hiccups.
I’m now on the hunt for a talented editor to work with me on a project-by-project basis. If that’s you, or you know someone perfect, reply to this email.
