The Sunday Summary

πŸš– Driverless taxis, πŸ“– Gripping fiction and πŸ“ˆ Productivity purgatory

πŸ’‚πŸ» An uneventful weekend

Hi all, this weekend I’ve been in London, that might sound unsurprising, but French air traffic controllers striking meant that my other filming obligations in Switzerland πŸ‡¨πŸ‡had to be cancelled, so I'm here instead.

🎾 A sporting experience

Padel tennis

I finally got to try Padel. I can see what the hype is about. all the faffery that is associated with tennis completely goes out the window of padel. I think I can refer to it as "second chance tennis". If you miss the first volley, you can let it bounce off the back wall and have a second go. The fact that you have the glass wall behind you means that you're never too far away from picking the ball up, so it just removes all the inefficiency and faff of tennis. Can't wait to play again! although it's quite expensive and difficult to find an open court.

πŸ“š A book I’m loving

Finally found myself some more fiction that intrigues me. Slight bias to 90’s and 00’s gaming. This has been addictive.

πŸ“Ί A Video I’m watching

This hit hard, I've also heard it referred to as productivity purgatory. I.e. You can’t just go for walk for the sake of a walk, it has to be for the objective of increased wellbeing so that can have positive effects on productivity and other areas of life. This is a constant spiral for me
