🚖 A big London taxi update!

It has been rumoured for a while that TfL would release a finite number of points for the taxi knowledge.

Part of the mystique of The Knowledge is that an examiner can ask you any point of interest (whatever they deem as interesting) within the 6 mile radius of Charing Cross. It’s nightmarish as a candidate because that could literally be anything! One examiner’s recent repertoire is a particular fried chicken shop in Clapham!
So having a finite list that is published and managed by TfL sets a bound curriculum. And despite being personally tested the “hard” way 8 years ago, I’m not against the idea! I had a big discussion on this topic with Dean of WizAnn Knowledge school and Paul of HP Taxi on the WizAnn podcast.

🖋️ A poem I’m meditating on

This gives me chills. Combination of knowing that Dennis wrote this poem later in his life after his success in publishing, and the eery soundtrack just roots you into the present moment.

🎧 On heavy rotation

I’ve shared the whole mix before, but this particular track hits hard. It was on endless loop when I returned home from KL, Malaysia last year. It evokes those feelings you get when you’ve been away from home a few weeks, everything feels a little bit different but still familiar.
